GPS Errors

GPS errors can be caused by a lack of good signal in the area you are in or by reception problems with your device. Mobile devices use both GPS and mobile networks to obtain a precise location. If, due to reception problems, you cannot get an accurate geolocation, we recommend switching to the manual audio activation mode.

GPS errors can also result from incorrect settings on your device. Here are some tips to resolve them:

On Android:

  1. Make sure you have given the GuideXpress app permission to access your location. Go to your phone's Settings > Apps > GuideXpress. Tap "Always allow". Make sure the "Use precise location" option is enabled.

  2. Disable battery optimization for the GuideXpress app. Go to your phone's Settings > Apps > GuideXpress > Battery > Select "Unrestricted".

Power Saving Mode

Another cause of GPS problems can be the "power saving" mode, which activates automatically when the phone is almost out of battery, reducing GPS accuracy. Disabling battery optimization for GuideXpress can help maintain accurate geolocation even when the battery is low.
By following these tips, you can improve GPS accuracy and enjoy an uninterrupted experience with GuideXpress.
